Initial summary
The ‘Tasks’ feature in EduBook allows you to easily create, customise, and manage your students' activities. From this tool, you can set dates, add materials, and track each student's progress, optimising your time and the organisation of your classes.
Steps to create a task
Log in to EduBook Learning with your teacher account at https://edubook-learning.com/en_GB/
- Enter one of your classes and access the Tasks section within the class.
- Click on the ‘Create Task’ button.
Note: If the book associated with the class does not have any activities, the option to create a task will not be available.
- Fill in the title and description of the task.
Tip: Use a clear and concise title so that students can easily identify the activity.
- Set the activation date and time (when it will be visible) and the deadline for submission.
Note: If you save the task as a ‘Draft,’ you do not need to set these dates yet.
Link activities from the EduBook book and, if you wish, add supplementary material (only links to YouTube, Google Docs, or others are accepted).
Remember: EduBook is not responsible for any external links you add.
-
Assign the task to your students: Choose whether the task will be for the entire class or only for certain groups or students.
- Once all of the above fields are configured, click on the ‘Create Task’ button that will have been enabled.
Result: Your task will be activated according to the date settings (immediately if the date has already passed or on the scheduled date).
Practical example
Imagine that you want your students to work on a specific unit in the Natural Sciences book. Create a task titled ‘Energy and Natural Resources,’ add a brief description, select the activities for that unit, and set the due date for next week. This will allow you to track each student's progress in an organised manner.
